The popular adage that's says "Everyday for the thief, one day for the owner" is not a mere fallacy at all, but a statement of fact. This undeniable theory as once again be proven to be true as the Ogun state police command have successfully arrested a member of a notorious robbery gang who have persistently terrorised students of Olabisi Onabanjo University.
The suspect simply identified as Chika Onyebuchi was arrested over the weekend, after a distress call was put through to the divisional police unit Awa, Ijebu by a student living in the area after he succeeded in carting away properties belonging to students who had travelled for the festive season. Items recovered from him were a sewing machine, mattresses and some cooking gas. This was authoritatively disclosed by the State police PRO Abimbola Oyeyemi while speaking with newsmen.
The suspect confessed to the crime, noting that OOU students residing in the community where his main targets. "I have burgled several students’ apartments in the area. I usually operate when they are not at home, particularly during holidays. I sell the loot and spend the money on food,” he added.
